Considering the gallery’s striking architectural characteristics and the meaning of the Latin word Albus itself, I designed a new brand identity for the ALBUS Gallery in Seoul.
I designed a new brand identity for the ALBUS Gallery in Seoul: the first illustration gallery in Korea. Shape of the logo features the negative space of the letter A. ALBUS is derived from the Latin word for white; therefore, the white pallet is symbolic of a white, blank sketchbook for featured artists to exhibit their illustrations within the all-white space. While remaining rooted within the white concept, I created a signage and application system of steel that replicated an alternative white material in order to keep the white theme consistent throughout the entire space.
