Installation Prohibition
Installation, 2016
Mixed media, 200 × 600 / 300 × 600 mm
Self–initiated Project
In collaboration with Hong Seolyi, Lee Jane

Installation Prohibition made of scaffoldings (materials found from construction sites) was moved to various locations changing the environment’s context for each location it was placed in.

Installation Prohibition was moved to various locations within the art college, where installation art was abundant. The environment I chose was a part of the installation; therefore, the installation could travel to many places and bring its meanings. By placing this sign within a new environment, I could create a whole new installation with what already exists in conjunction with the sign. Each environment that scaffolding was placed in inherently created a new context for the same space. The work is currently placed between the entrance signs of Hongik University.
